The Health Benefits of Pineapple

In today’s society, we are constantly on the run and usually we are looking for the fastest, cheapest meals possible.  With that, tends to come foods that are lower in the nutrients our bodies need to function, heal, and recover. If you find yourself in this situation repeatedly (I am guilty of this too sometimes) give this green drink recipe a try!  Not only is this recipe loaded with vitamins and minerals that our bodies are craving when the diet is lacking, but it also tastes awesome.  Take a peek below at a couple key quotes from the research I references about pineapple and the benefits it provides from the bromelain and how that aids in our body recovering and healing properly.

“Bromelain accounts for many therapeutic benefits like the treatment of angina pectoris, bronchitis, sinusitis, and surgical trauma. It also relieves osteoarthritis, diarrhea, and various cardiovascular disorders.”

“All the evidence reviewed in this paper suggest that bromelain can be used as an effective health supplement to prevent cancer, diabetes, and various cardiovascular diseases in the long run.”

At Minnesota Chiro Health, we emphasize the importance of what we are putting into our bodies and the important role that plays in how every one of our patients recovers and gets out of pain.  Our mission is to lead our community to a healthy way of life by making sure we are eating well, moving well, and thinking well.  Give this recipe a try and I look forward to hearing how it goes!
